Per Wikipedia, Microsoft Excel (full name Microsoft Office Excel) is a spreadsheet-application written and distributed by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. It features calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables and a macro programming language called VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). It has been the most widely used spreadsheet application available for these platforms since version 5 in 1993[citation needed]. Excel is part of Microsoft Office.

Formatting Cells

While it is not necessary to always have the data (numbers, in this case) appear exactly as it does in other cells it is helpful. To ensure that all data is uniform (matching) do the following:

Averaging Numbers

As noted above, Excel contains calculation tools (many of which are way beyond my comprehension level). This section will focus on using the calculation tool in Excel to determine the average of a group of numbers. For this excercise, we will use the data collected through the Renaissance Place projects.
